Our Regional High School, Archbishop Carney Secondary (ACRSS) proudly presents the gripping court room drama, Twelve Angry Jurors at the Terry Fox Theatre in Port Coquitlam.

Twelve Jurors are entrusted with the power to send an uneducated, teenage, tenement-dwelling boy to the electric chair for stabbing his father to death. They must come up with a unanimous decision – either guilty or not guilty.

This play examines the twelve juror’s deep-seated personal prejudices, perceptual biases and weaknesses, and the exposes the potential problems with the trial by jury system with its purported sense of infallibility, fairness and lack of bias. The Jurors are allowing their personal situations to taint their decision-making abilities, potentially leading them to a miscarriage of justice, were it not for the lone holdout – someone who attempts to prevent a miscarriage of
justice by forcing their colleagues to reconsider the evidence.

The show runs from Thursday, March 2 to Saturday, March 4 @ 7:00pm.

Tickets are $15.00 and are reserved seating.
