Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, May 15th following the 9 AM and 11:15 AM Mass
We’re so excited! After two years on pause, we can gather again and enjoy a pancake breakfast together. Thanks to the Knights of Columbus, who are generously serving and offering this meal to us. Instead of a set fee, they are asking everyone for an entrance donation to help cover the cost of this shared meal.
If you’ve never joined our breakfast before, prepare for the best pancakes of you life.
The KofC are inviting all men willing to help and serve to join their Pancake Breakfast team, not exclusively fellow Knights. If you’re so called and able, please contact Barrie Herod to join the team! Email: [email protected]
FIRE IN THE VALLEY
Sunday, May 22 from 7pm – 11pm
ACREAGE FARMLAND AT 29360 TOWNSHIPLINE ROAD, ABBOTSFORD
Now that Covid restrictions are lifted, we wanted to host another great event that’s open to all young adults in the Archdiocese. Last year we had 250 people come out and we anticipate our numbers to be even greater this time. We can’t wait! Join us for a night of community, bonfires, live music, food trucks, local beer, yard games and a chance to gather with old and new friends. This year we will have better parking with less mud, some simple mixers and an opportunity to connect with young adult groups from your area.
Dress warm and get ready to have a blast together. Whether you’re from Vancouver, Coquitlam, Chilliwack, or anywhere in between, all young adults ages 19-35 (ish) are welcome.
We know of your desire for community, for something engaging in the Church, to grow, and to go deep, and to have a great time. We have created this event specifically for you! We envision a flourishing young adult ministry in the Archdiocese of Vancouver, one that is nourished by Christ and deep fellowship. Everything begins with relationship: with one another and with Jesus. That’s what Fire in the Valley is about. This is just the beginning of a movement, hosted by Life Restoration Ministries, inspired by the Holy Spirit, for young adults.

Every week we are going to personally recommend a book for your on your spiritual journey.
This week we’re recommending Abide by Heather Khym!
In this personal healing retreat from Heather Khym, co-host of the popular Abiding Together podcast, you are invited to break through the barriers that prevent you from trusting and experiencing the deep love of Jesus and be transformed by the freedom that comes when we vulnerably bring our entire selves to the foot of the Cross. Rooted in the teaching of Khym’s Vancouver-based ministry, Life Restoration, Abide shares scripture, essential Catholic teaching, and the author’s personal healing journey to reintroduce you to God as the Divine Healer, Restorer, and Miracle Worker. Khym offers you a compass to navigate your past as you dig into difficult memories that have disoriented your understanding of God and made you afraid to trust him.
You can pick up your copy of Abide in the parish bookstore, open during office hours.
