This past Saturday, our parish joyfully offered up celebratory prayer as 21 Catechumens from St. Patrick’s attended the Rite of Elections with Archbishop Richard Smith.
We ask you to please pray for each of our newest brothers and sisters as we approach the Easter celebration and prepare to receive the Holy Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.

This Sunday, following the 11:15am Mass, we will have our bi-weekly Food Recovery Program Giveaway day. We hope you will join us. Gates open at 12:30pm (or following the conclusion of the 11:15am Mass – whichever is Later.
We are always grateful to our generous donors, without whom we could not provide these foods and resources to the community. This week we anticipate donations from: The Port Coquitlam Costco, The Port Coquitlam Safeway Bakery, Food Bank on Wheels, Friends in Need Food Bank, Save On, Shoppers on 240th, Starbucks on 227th and Dewdney and Starbucks at the Valley Fair Mall, and Willoughby Kens’ No Frills.

Please come for Eucharistic Adoration and raise your voices in Praise and Worship of our Lord. Light a candle and refocus your Lenten intentions and goals.
Reconciliation
Regular weekly confessions are available on Tuesdays at 6pm, Saturdays at 4:15pm, and by appointment.


St. Patrick’s Catholic Women’s League will be hosting the World Day of Prayer 2026 at St. Patrick’s Parish in Maple Ridge on Friday, March 6th at 2:30pm.
Refreshments will follow the service at 3:30pm at Holy Grounds.
The World Day of Prayer is an international ecumenical Christian lay women’s initiative and is supported by the Archdiocese of Vancouver. This is an annual event occurring in over 170 nations where Christians come today in spirit and prayer. The motto is informed prayer and prayerful action.
This year’s writing committee is WDP Nigeria, “I will give you rest: come” Matthew 11:28-30.
All parishioners are welcome to attend.

Faith and Science Scholarship
The Vancouver Chapter of the Society of Catholic Scientists is excited to announce the 2026Faith and Science Essay Competition. Awards will be presented to two Catholic students enrolled in a science discipline at a post-secondary institution within the Archdiocese of Vancouver. The competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
The awards are as follows:
- First Place: $1,000
- Second Place: $500
Submissions will be evaluated based on content and quality of the applicant’s essay or video reflection, with GPA not considered in the assessment.
The application deadline is May 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Momentum Single Mothers Weekend Retreat
Looking for spiritual renewal as a single mom? All Catholic single mothers and their children are invited to a two-night retreat at Stillwood Camp and Conference Centre (Lindell Beach) from March 20–22. The weekend includes faith-filled talks and programming for mothers, family time, children’s activities, as well as Mass and Confession. Childcare is provided, so you can fully enter into prayer and fellowship.

Stay With Me: Ignatian Lenten Retreat for Young Adults
Seeking some time to spend with Jesus this Lenten season? Join us for this young adult Ignatian retreat focusing on our journey with God. We will engage silent time for personal prayer, scripture, music, art, walking in nature, small group sharing, and a sense of community as young adults. The $30 fee includes home-cooked lunch, dinner, snacks, retreat materials and facilitation. Saturday, March 14, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Register by March 12 atbeholdvancouver.org/events.

This year Archbishop Carney Theatre is proud to present Frozen: The Broadway Musical. When newly crowned Queen Elsa accidentally sets off an eternal winter in the town of Arendelle, her younger sister Anna, along with her friends Kristoff, Olaf and Sven go off on an adventure to find her sister and save the kingdom. Facing an unsuspected villain and unpredictable ice powers, Anna must fight alongside her friends to bring back summer. Frozen reveals how true love can come in many forms, and that the bond between sisters is something truly special.


The St. Patrick’s Catholic Women’s League (CWL) is awarding a $500.00 Bursary to any St. Patrick’s Parishioner graduating from Grade 12 in 2026, who is attending their first year of a Post Secondary Institution, Seminary or Convent and is a practising Catholic.

Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
