Bulletin: Pentecost Sunday

Father Matthew will be celebrating 25 years of Ordination this June!!
We would like to invite you for an in-person celebration, Sunday the 22nd following the evening Mass. Celebration to include food and refreshments;
Please RSVP so our Knights are able to plan enough for everyone.
We’re collecting letters and cards! You may have been blessed by Fr Matthew’s priestly ministry in one way or another, and we want to bless him with words of affirmation.
If you’d like to share a message or card with Fr Matthew, please drop them off at the office. We’ll keep them all sealed and will present them to Fr M at his anniversary celebration.

Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.

Thank you to Mr. Minguan and Mrs. Sunmin Kim for your incredible restoration of Father Matthew’s office crucifix. The artistry and skill it took to repair this cherished parish item which had a foot missing is very much appreciated.
Thank you Mrs. Fonseca, the parish school community, and CWL for the lovely celebration of Father Matthew’s 25th Anniversary of Ordination on June 3rd. Father Matthew was immensely touched by your thoughtful and intentional assembly showing your love and care for him.

Archbishop Smith’s Message on the 40-Day Memorial of the Tragedy Following the Lapu-Lapu Day Festival
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we mark the 40-day memorial of the tragedy that followed the Lapu-Lapu Day celebration, our hearts remain heavy with sorrow. We remember the lives lost and the families forever changed. In our grief, we find solace and hope in our faith.
The Ascension of our Lord reminds us that even in darkness, Christ is always present as a light guiding and comforting us. Let us hold onto this truth as we support one another through love and compassion.
To the families who have lost loved ones, we offer deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with you. For those still suffering, we pray for healing and strength.
I pray that you will continue to reach out for help when needed and support each other as you find resilience and hope in unity and faith.
May the Risen Lord bless you all with his peace and his consolation.
Yours sincerely in the love of Christ,
~Richard W. Smith
