Bulletin: 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.
To support healing and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in our province.
Your Project Advance tax-deductible donation will fund important works such as:
- Youth and young adults ministry in our parishes
- The construction of new Catholic schools
- Programs that support healthy families
- Feeding the homeless and vulnerable in the Downtown Eastside
- Pastoral ministry and support for the hospitalized
Once St. Patrick’s parish goal is met, all additional funds raised will be directed back to parish projects identified by your Pastor and parish team. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Pancake Breakfast is Back!
Please join us this Sunday, September 15th following the 9am and 11:15am Masses for a delicious hot, fresh meal.
Breakfast is by donation.
Welcome to Alpha at St. Patrick’s Parish.
This is a beautiful 16-week series where we watch a video and connect with one another as we discuss life’s most meaningful questions.
This fall we are offering 2 sessions –
- a Wednesday Evening experience starting September 18th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, which includes a delicious meal prepared by parishioners;
- or a Thursday morning experience starting September 19th from 9:00am to 11:00am where we enjoy our lovely Holy Grounds custom blended coffee alongside a morning savoury breakfast.
Those who have attended our Alpha program over the years have met their closest friends, joined small group faith studies, and found a second home here at our parish. We hope you will accept our warm invitation to this free and life-changing series.
Please register so we know how many to expect for dinner and have enough of everything for everyone. Thank you!

Making Sense of Anxiety in Children and Youth
The escalating level of anxiety in our children begs for an explanation as well as a solution. Dr. Gordon Neufeld sheds light on this age-old problem, paving the way for natural interventions that can actually get to the root causes as opposed to just managing symptoms. Although the focus is on children, this enlightening material will benefit anyone suffering from anxiety.
Dr. Neufeld’s revolutionary yet science-specific approach turns parenting right-side-up, restoring natural intuition to parenting and putting parents back in the driver’s seat. This video course takes the best that science has to offer and renders it readily accessible to parents of children of all ages.
Every Tuesday, starting September 17 until October 15, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. via Zoom. Cost is $25. Learn more and register at beholdvancouver.org/events.

Some information will also be given about the tax benefits of charitable giving and what to consider when making a healthcare plan. Learn more and register at beholdvancouver.org/events.
