Bulletin: 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Father Matthew will be away from the parish starting Monday, October 14th and returning Saturday, October 26th.
We wish him well on his journeys and look forward to new stories about the people he meets and adventures he has.
Completed envelopes are welcome to be dropped off at the parish office or placed into the donations box at the back of the church. Our staff will place your intentions in the designated prayer box to be placed on the Altar at the start of November.
Thank you!
Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.
To help the Society for the Propagation of the Faith assist missionary bishops and dioceses throughout the world.
Your Project Advance tax-deductible donation will fund important works such as:
- Youth and young adults ministry in our parishes
- The construction of new Catholic schools
- Programs that support healthy families
- Feeding the homeless and vulnerable in the Downtown Eastside
- Pastoral ministry and support for the hospitalized
Our 2024 Parish Goal is $48,400
We have raised $35,236 to date
Once St. Patrick’s parish goal is met, all additional funds raised will be directed back to parish projects identified by your Pastor and parish team. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Welcome to Alpha at St. Patrick’s Parish.
This is a beautiful 16-week series where we watch a video and connect with one another as we discuss life’s most meaningful questions.
This fall we are offering 2 sessions –
- a Wednesday Evening experience starting September 18th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, which includes a delicious meal prepared by parishioners;
- or a Thursday morning experience starting September 19th from 9:00am to 11:00am where we enjoy our lovely Holy Grounds custom blended coffee alongside a morning savoury breakfast.
Those who have attended our Alpha program over the years have met their closest friends, joined small group faith studies, and found a second home here at our parish. We hope you will accept our warm invitation to this free and life-changing series.
Please register so we know how many to expect for dinner and have enough of everything for everyone. Thank you!
You were called by God for a purpose, and were given gifts and charisms by the Holy Spirit at the time of your Baptism and Confirmation. Discover your special gift through the Called & Gifted program now being offered through St. Patrick’s
During Lent we are called to Fast, Pray and Give Alms; many in our community need help. At St. Patrick’s we strive to support our community both in spirit and in body.
If you or someone you know is in need of prayers or support, please reach out.
In Recognition of our Small Business Owners
We are so happy to provide a free resource of small businesses owned and managed by fellow parishioners. By supporting one another, we grow and strengthen our community, and through that support we grow and strengthen our faith.

It will also culminate in a celebration with the theme of Dia De Los Muertos, a Mexican festival honouring deceased loved ones. All Hallow’s Eve Mass is on Thursday, October 31 at 6:00 p.m. All Saint’s Day Mass is on Friday, November 1, at 5:00 p.m. All Soul’s Day Mass is on Saturday, November 2, at 4:00 p.m., with the festival afterward. Learn more at rccav.org/month-of-holy-souls/.
There will be a Vocation Live-In on the weekend of November 2-3 at the Seminary of Christ the King in Mission, BC. Anyone wishing to enter the Seminary in the next couple of years is welcome. For more information phone 604-826-8975 or email [email protected]
