Bulletin: Fourth Sunday of Advent
This Advent, take an important step in your spiritual journey by returning to Jesus in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. By opening your heart to his healing mercy, you are preparing a place for his joy and peace to dwell within you this Christmas.

Your Project Advance tax-deductible donation will fund important works such as:
- Youth and young adults ministry in our parishes
- The construction of new Catholic schools
- Programs that support healthy families
- Feeding the homeless and vulnerable in the Downtown Eastside
- Pastoral ministry and support for the hospitalized

Support your Parish
Every act of help and support keeps our parish running and is an integral part of achieving our parish mission. We are so very grateful to all.
If you would like to serve the parish by donating your time or skills, please let us know.
$2 each or $15 for a pack of 10.
Please pick up an information card from Hannah or at the parish office.
Finished Alpha? About to start Rescue? Wondering what is next? Feeling like you want to give your faith life a boost? Email Hannah to inquire about small groups. Small groups are intended to build lasting friendships and deepen our love for Jesus and what He has done for us. Come experience authentic friendship, close bonds and learning more about Jesus in a far more personal way than perhaps ever thought possible.
Pre-labelled Parish donation envelopes are available for pick up for those who prefer to donate with cash or cheque.
Please use these envelopes starting Jan 1, 2025.
There is a limited number of physical envelopes available and they are pre-labelled based on parishioner preference.
For parishioners who donate electronically, there is no need to pick up a physical envelope for donations – your donations are recorded electronically and your envelope # does not change in the new year.
Envelopes for Second Collections are additionally available at the office for your use.
Please contact the parish office if you require paper envelopes and one is not already available for you.

Domestic Abuse Services Needs Your Support
On October 5, 2024 a massive fire devastated several businesses in Downtown Langley. Thrifter’s Paradise, a beloved volunteer-run thrift store operated by Domestic Abuse Services – Our Lady of Good Counsel Society, was among those affected by smoke and water damage. The store reopened briefly for a “fire sale”, with plans for a full reopening pending permanent repairs to the building.
Thrifter’s Paradise plays a vital role in funding “Eva’s House,” a second-stage transition shelter offering safe housing and support programs for women and children escaping domestic violence. During this period of recovery, the Society is relying on the generosity of donors to continue their mission.
Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of women and children seeking safety and hope. Visit domesticabuseservices.ca today to donate or volunteer and help rebuild this essential ministry.
Do not mail Project Advance donations
Please be aware that we cannot issue tax receipts for any Project Advance donations received after December 31, 2024. Even if the Canada Post strike ends, we cannot guarantee that mailed donations will arrive in time. To ensure your donation is processed before the deadline, please do not mail your Project Advance donation. Instead, we encourage you to drop it off at the parish office by [insert deadline] or make your donation online at projectadvance.ca. Thank you for your continued support of our parish community!
