Bulletin: Good Shepherd Sunday – 4th Sunday of Easter
Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.
The second collection on Good Shepherd Sunday, April 21, will support the next generation of priests in our Archdiocese. It funds the discernment, formation and education of our seminarians, ensuring that they receive the preparation necessary for them to be good shepherds who are effective in their priestly ministry. Parishioners can make their tax-deductible donation in-person or online.

Father Matthew is taking a 1-week break, and will return on Saturday, April 27th.
There will be no weekday Masses at St. Patrick’s between April 22 and April 26.
CGS – PREP (Parish Religious Education Program) Applications are open!
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori based faith formation founded on two pillars: Sacred Scripture and Sacred Liturgy. Through the use of Scripture and materials, which we call “work”, children are invited to enter into a deeper relationship with God.PREP is religious education for school aged children who attend public school or are homeschooled. We also have a preschool session for 4yr olds.Applications for CGS are now open for the 2024/25 school year.Applications submitted after June 15th will incur a late fee.
Our next Men’s Ministry Night is on April 27th. Please join us for an evening of reflection and enjoy a Saintly-themed cocktail (non-alcoholic options are available).

St. Patrick’s has a thriving Altar Boys Ministry, led by Marko Jakus. We would like to invite any boys who are Grade 5 and up and who feel called to serve the parish in this very special way, to complete the sign up form on our website.

Bishop Thomas J. Lobsinger, OMI Memorial Bursary Program
The annual British Columbia and Yukon Bursary program known as the Bishop Thomas J. Lobsinger, OMI Memorial Bursary Program is underway. The 2024 program is now receiving applications. We are privileged to offer fourteen bursaries of $1,000.00 each to Catholic students across the Province of British Columbia. These bursaries are made available on a one-time only basis to young practicing Catholic students who are in post secondary education at a recognized institute of higher learning within the Province of British Columbia. Applications are accepted from January 1, 2024, until June 30, 2024 with the bursaries being awarded in the fall. The Terms of Reference may be found on our web site (kofcbc.org) after Jan 1, 2024.

The Youth Ministry Leadership Bursary recognizes high school students making a difference in their parishes, schools, communities and homes. Two Grade 12 students will be selected to receive an award of $500 each for their post-secondary schooling. Learn more and apply at rcav.org/youth-ministry.

Estate and Memorial Planning Webinar
This free online presentation provides general information for preparing or updating your Will, learning about the beauty of the funeral rite, and formulating pre-need arrangements. You’ll be pointed to complementary guides, tools and practical resources. The event is presented by the Gardens of Gethsemani cemetery, a ministry of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. It will be a full day, beginning with Mass at Sacred Heart Parish, Delta (3900 Arthur Drive, Delta) with Mass at 9:15 – Archbishop Miller presiding. From there, we will catch the 11:00 am ferry to Victoria, where we will participate in the March and return on the 5:00 pm ferry. We have an exciting lineup of speakers at this years event.
