Book Recommendation
from Hannah
The Holy Spirit is no less involved in our lives than the Father and the Son, yet many are unaware of this. Jesus said about the Holy Spirit, “If I go, I will send you another Comforter.” But are we aware of the Holy Spirit in our lives? In the School of the Holy Spirit by renowned retreat master Jacques Philippe will help. It will lead you to be more attentive to the movements of the Holy Spirit in your life as you learn to value the third person of the Trinity as the Sanctifier of your soul. Philippe explains the rewards of being attentive to the Holy Spirit and provides simple and concrete ways to grow in this inner sensitivity. In his clear and simple style, he illustrates his points with many examples from modern life. In the School of the Holy Spirit is a valuable aid in your own spiritual journey.

* Bereavement Support for Those Whose Loved Ones Have Chosen MAiD
Has someone you loved chosen MAiD? We are offering a 4-week support group for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one through Medical Assistance in Dying (also known as MAiD or euthanasia). This small group (8 people) will offer an opportunity to work through some of the complications of this grief with others who have experienced similar situations with family and friends.
This is not about the politics or morality of euthanasia. This is a peer-led group to support each other through our Catholic faith and the mercy of God. We will use scripture, discussions, and reflections to work through the many aspects of bereavement.
On Thursday, June 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at John Paul II Pastoral Centre in Vancouver. Registration deadline: Thursday, June 6. Learn more and register at beholdvancouver.org/events.
* Estate & Memorial Planning Seminar
This free presentation provides general information about the importance of a Will, choosing the right Executor, the Probate, the Power of Attorney, and the tax benefits of charitable giving, plus a few words on healthcare planning.
You will learn about the beauty of the funeral rite and formulating pre-need and funeral arrangements, and receive a complimentary Estate and Memorial Planning Guide, online tools, and practical resources.
On Saturday, June 8, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish in Vancouver. Learn more and register at planning.rcav.org/corpus-christi.
