Bulletin: 1st Sunday of Lent

Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.

St. Joseph’s Society Second Collection

Reflection
We are led by the Spirit into the desert of our hearts. It is a forbidding place….but the beautiful thing, though, is that it lays all things bare AND Christ goes before us, with us! In the desert, this is where all things become clear – we see our idols – the things we grasp at for salvation other than God. Our Lord only reveals to us what He wishes to attend to and heal! He has faced all our temptations and prevailed. Jesus Christ will not fail you!
-Restore; Sr. Miriam James
Dear Jesus, give us the clarity to see our idols and then to surrender them to You. Illumine the places in our hearts where we fear to trust You. Help us Lord to trust You. Fill us with Your love.
Amen
