Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impacts our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.
As the year draws to a close, we ask that you reflect on the many opportunities we offer to you, your family, and our parish family. Any and all donations are incredibly appreciated.
All donations over $20.00 qualify for an income tax receipt. Please be sure to include your mailing address at the time of your donation.
Donations made in person at the parish office must be received by December 31st at 1:00pm. The office will be open for a short period of time on that day; please refer to the Holiday Office Schedule included in this bulletin.
Pre-labelled Parish donation envelopes are available for pick up for those who prefer to donate with cash or cheque.
Please use these envelopes starting Jan 1, 2024.
There is a limited number of physical envelopes available and they are pre-labelled based on parishioner preference.
For parishioners who donate electronically, there is no need to pick up a physical envelope for donations – your donations are recorded electronically and your envelope # does not change in the new year.
Envelopes for Second Collections are additionally available at the office for your use.
Please contact the parish office if you require paper envelopes and one is not already available for you.
Alpha is returning this January!
Join us in Holy Grounds for dinner, great conversation, and lasting connection. We invite you to bring a friend.
Guests to the series do not need to be Catholic or members of our parish. This event is open to everyone. Please register for this series of event so we can plan for the correct number of guests. You only need to register one time.
What is Alpha?
We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions, and share their point of view.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: connection, content, and conversation.
Our bells are most definitely ringing and jingling with the Christmas Spirit!!
Hannah is here to welcome you to Holy Grounds, make you a delicious and warming holiday mug of good cheer and conversation is always available.
7am Rorate Masses on Wednesdays are starting up again!
The three Rorate Masses are scheduled for December 6th, December 13th & December 20th.
These Masses arecelebrated in the dark, only illuminated by candlelight and just before dawn. This speaks of the general theme of Advent, a time of expectation eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Son of God, the Light of the World.
After Mass, please come for a reception in Holy Grounds provided by our wonderful volunteers who woke up extra early to help.
Thank you!
Thank you to our Rorate team who helped set up, worked the reception & cleaned. Special shout-out to Karolina, Harrison, Shauna, Julia, Sarah & Ester. Thank you to Albert & Cathy for making goodies for our Rorate mass.
Thank you to everyone for giving their Saturday morning making our church look absolutely lovely for the upcoming Christmas season.
Thank you to Bruce and Brendan Hay for setting up the outdoor nativity scene.
THANK YOU to Tong Le for his rapid response to an emergency roof leak above the parish office. Your support and help has kept us all working and available through the Christmas season.
