Bulletin: 5th Sunday of Lent, 2024
Our parish relies on your generosity. Your donations each year directly impact our ability to minister to those in need, to provide special programs such as Alpha and CGS, to offer small group faith studies, to maintain our buildings, and to grow our parish school.
This Lent, Development and Peace—Caritas Canada, the official international solidarity organization of the Catholic Church in Canada, invites you to stand with small-scale farmers and peasant communities through their Create Hope: Reaping our Rights campaign.
Your generosity will help support over 73 projects in 36 countries around the world, helping address the root causes of poverty, oppression, and inequality. On Solidarity Sunday, March 17, the Fifth Sunday of Lent, please consider making a tax-deductible donation in person at the parish or online at stpatricksmapleridge.ca/donate

Reflections & Events
5th Lenten Sunday March 10
REFLECTION
With alms giving, the heart of healing and restoring communion with each is the forgiveness of one another. Of all the things Jesus could beseech us to pray for and about, He insists upon forgiveness. Unforgiveness stands in the way of much of our healing and restoration, freedom, and wholeness. Whatever our personal experience with forgiveness or the lack thereof, Jesus wants to meet us in this very place, and bring our hearts to freedom. He goes before us here. Will you follow Him in whatever He wants to reveal to your heart?
-Restore; Sr. Miriam James
PRAYER
Jesus, Please take my hand as I go with you into this area of my heart and life, where I need to be forgiven, and where I need to forgive others who have hurt me. Give me the courage, strength and safety to welcome your healing power into my heart, and allow me to transform my life.
Amen.

Join us in celebration and recognition of Mr. Joe Antoniak who has served St. Patrick’s Parish and Parish School for 30 years!
Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work. We appreciate you.
We talk a lot about Alpha (because it’s AMAZING), but we want to also highlight our Small Groups which are always here and always supporting us in our faith formation. Lent is a great time to sit and reflect on where you are at with God, others and, of course, yourselves.
Small groups are intimate groups designed to learn about the heart of Jesus and the heart of the Father.
**WARNING**
People who participate in small groups develop lifelong friendships and connections, and often end up volunteering to participate in more activities at the parish.
Please contact Hannah, our discipleship coordinator, to find out if we have a small group that would be a good fit for you or if a new one is in the process of being formed. We try our best to match you up with people of your same age and demographic. We have groups of moms, groups of men, groups of high school students etc…
You were called by God for a purpose, and were given gifts and charisms by the Holy Spirit at the time of your Baptism and Confirmation. Discover your special gift through the Called & Gifted program now being offered through St. Patrick’s
During Lent we are called to Fast, Pray and Give Alms; many in our community need help. At St. Patrick’s we strive to support our community both in spirit and in body.
If you or someone you know is in need of prayers or support, please reach out.
The St. Patrick’s Parish Office has a growing collection of items that have been found. If you are missing one of your valuables, please stop by the office. Our staff will ask you to provide some identifying information for lost valuables. Thank you.
In Recognition of our Small Business Owners
We are so happy to provide a free resource of small businesses owned and managed by fellow parishioners. By supporting one another, we grow and strengthen our community, and through that support we grow and strengthen our faith.
